Medway Champions Meeting – September 2024
We are thrilled to announce that our next Medway Champions Breakfast is being held at and in partnership with the Docking Station! Opening in 2025, so a sneak preview for all Medway Champions, Docking Station will harness the transformative power of creative technology to open up new possibilities and futures for young people and the communities of Kent and Medway. Billed as a digital future for Medway – Docking Station is an exciting new facility for Medway and for creative industries in the South East.
It will restore a historic building at the Historic Dockyard Chatham into a unique hub providing industry-standard production technologies including virtual production and motion capture enabling local businesses, students and communities to develop new skills in immersive technologies and supporting digital creative industries in Medway and the region. The Docking Station team have also lined-up a visit to the Motion Capture Studio!
As always we have a great line up of speakers from organisations based in Medway, who will tell their stories around our theme of Youth for September’s Medway Champions Breakfast.
Please book early, as this will be a popular and busy meeting!
Engaging with our businesses and residents and young people is a vital part of our strategy in order to meet our objective as well as developing a clear sense of purpose and direction for Medway, our place – our aim was always to tell our story from our people and businesses point of view supported by a powerful marketing toolkit.
Medway Champions scheme has been created to bring businesses, voluntary organisations and residents together to support our place plan. Since its launch in June 2018, our Medway champion programme has seen Medway’s business communities join forces to promote Medway and further boost the economy by supporting and promoting the Medway story. Over 150 businesses and organisations have joined us and keen to stand up for the area and play a part in raising its profile.
